Layered, built up, almost pressed forth from the process.

TRASHURE #4 is created from pottery waste – layer upon layer of material that would otherwise be discarded. Here, it has been allowed to remain, to stack up, and to find its own form. The result is compact yet open, with cavities and spaces that allow light and shadows to move through the object.

The surface is porous and unglazed, full of traces from its creation. Each level carries its own rhythm – like frozen movements in clay.

A form that feels more constructed than created.
An object that carries its history – right through.
