About CAJO

It all began when Carina joined a friend for a pottery course — mostly just as company. But the clay stayed with her. More courses followed, then an education within ceramics, and in 2012 she chose to leave her previous job to build her own production of handmade stoneware.

Today, Carina creates her ceramics in a charming old industrial space in Norrahammar, with worn concrete floors, large iron-framed windows and Virginia creeper changing colour outside. Here, stoneware tableware is shaped in earthy tones, often with a soft hint of Asian influences.

Together with restaurants, hotels and private customers, shapes and colours are developed to suit the meal, the setting and the feeling. In the showroom, samples, glazes and previous work are available for inspiration.

The ceramics are made to be used — durable enough for dishwasher, microwave and oven, and developed to withstand both everyday use and the demands of professional restaurants. Every piece carries traces of the hand that shaped it.

Art to enjoy — and use.
